New Delhi: Capital markets regulator SEBI said its new regulations governing the settlement of administrative and civil proceedings will come into force from Saturday.
The Sebi (Settlement of Administrative and Civil Proceedings) Regulations, 2026, notified on October 8, will provide the framework for eligible persons to apply for settlement of proceedings, the markets regulator said in a release on Friday.
To facilitate the filing of settlement applications, the market watchdog has placed frequently asked questions (FAQs) on its website and provided an online facility to help applicants calculate the settlement amount.
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has also made available an online settlement application form and set up a helpdesk for applicants.
An explainer video detailing the use of the settlement amount calculation facility has also been uploaded on Sebi's website.
Eligible persons can apply for settlement in accordance with the provisions of the new regulations, Sebi said.
