CEC row LIVE: Neha Bora calls 'Citizens’ March' in Delhi at 3 pm over police atrocities
Activist Neha Bora has called for a 'Citizens’ March' from India Gate to Jantar Mantar today at 3 pm amid protests over police atrocities against women protesters and journalists, the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, and demands for Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation. The call follows the detention of more than 500 protesters on Friday and further detentions on Saturday.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has also demanded answers from Union Home Minister Amit Shah over allegations of misconduct involving women protesters and journalists by Delhi Police personnel, saying the force comes under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Gandhi alleged that journalists were dragged, cameras were snatched, and women faced misconduct. Police, however, said they had not granted permission for the demonstrations.

Just got a call from a female ind journalist. She said ACP Vivek Bhagat misbehaved with her & touched her inappropriately. She tried to file a complaint, the police refused it. Why is the local DCP trying to protect ACP Vivek Bhagat? Is that DCP Sachin Sharma, Amit Shah’s blue-eyed boy?
