New Delhi: A professor was dismissed over allegations of sexual harassment at Jawaharlal Nehru University; an internal committee conducted an inquiry in accordance with the university's order.

The order says the professor of the Centre for the Study of Social Systems, School of Social Sciences, has been dismissed from service with immediate effect.

According to the order, the Internal Committee conducted an inquiry into the allegations of sexual harassment against the professor and recommended major punishment based on its findings.
