New York: US rapper Macklemore said he will donate the entire $1 million net earnings from his appearances on Ed Sheeran's Loop Tour to six organizations supporting Palestinians, while calling on billionaire Robert Kraft to match the contribution.

In a statement posted on Instagram, Macklemore said recent controversy surrounding his removal from Sheeran's US tour should not overshadow the plight of Palestinians.
"Palestinian lives are worth protecting. A Palestinian life is no less valuable than any other life on this earth," he wrote.
The Grammy-winning artist said the donation was intended to support Palestinians affected by the war and to draw attention to what he described as ongoing suffering under military occupation.
He also reiterated his support for Palestinian "freedom, dignity and safety" and pledged to continue advocating for the Palestinian cause.
Macklemore said financial assistance alone would not solve the underlying issues facing Palestinians, calling the situation a "manmade injustice" that requires political change.
