Chicken samosa is a crispy, golden snack filled with juicy minced chicken, onions and aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- 250 g minced chicken
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 green chilli, finely chopped
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- ½ tsp garam masala
- ½ tsp cumin powder
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
- Samosa sheets
- 2 tbsp flour and water, for sealing
- Oil, for frying
Preparation
- Heat a little oil in a pan. Add onion, ginger-garlic paste and green chilli and sauté until the onion softens.
- Add the minced chicken, turmeric, chilli powder, cumin powder, garam masala and salt. Cook until the chicken is completely done and the mixture is fairly dry.
- Stir in the coriander leaves and allow the filling to cool.
- Place the filling on a samosa sheet and fold into a triangular shape. Seal the edges with flour paste.
- Heat oil over medium heat and fry the samosas until crisp and golden.
- Drain on a paper towel and serve hot.
Serving suggestion
Serve hot with mint-coriander chutney, tamarind chutney or tomato sauce, alongside a cup of hot tea.
