New Delhi: Facebook and Instagram reported outage on Sunday as several users faced problems in accessing their accounts.
Users of Meta-owned social media platforms Facebook and Instagram complained about facing trouble in logging into their accounts in several parts of the globe, including India.
According to Downdetector, which tracks outages by aggregating user-submitted problem reports, the complaints peaked around the afternoon and eased after a couple of hours.
Some Facebook users received the message “Account Temporarily Unavailable. Your account is currently unavailable due to a site issue. We expect this to be resolved shortly. Please try again in a few minutes”.
Some users also reported facing issues in accessing their accounts on Instagram.
An email query sent to Meta did not elicit an immediate reply.
