A boat capsized in the Raghoopur area of Vaishali district of Bihar, killing 11, including minors, officials said on Tuesday.
"Most of the deceased are minors who were travelling on the boat to attend the feast," officials said.
District police officials and a State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team have been dispatched to conduct search operations. The rescue operations are currently underway.

Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary expressed condolences, adding that an ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh will be will be provided to the families of the deceased.

The chief minister further said that instructions have been given for the swift completion of search and rescue operations as well as to ensure better treatment for the injured.
