China: China on Tuesday delivered a "Land Aircraft Carrier" flying car to the United Arab Emirates, marking the first delivery of the aircraft to the country.
Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, ruler of Ras Al Khaimah and a member of the UAE Supreme Council, led a delegation to XPENG AEROHT's flying-car mass-production facility in Guangzhou, in South China's Guangdong Province.
During the visit, he toured what the company described as the world's first mass-production line for flying cars. Alongside XPENG AEROHT founder Zhao Deli, he unveiled the first "Land Aircraft Carrier" (model X3-F) designated for use in the UAE's advanced low-altitude aviation regulatory demonstration zone, and formally took delivery of the test unit.
Unlike static models displayed at previous exhibitions, the aircraft delivered to the UAE is a production unit built on the mass-production line and ready for trial runs.
According to the company, the first batch of test aircraft will undergo trial runs in a regulatory sandbox under the supervision of the UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).
In the next phase, the two sides plan to advance product certification, cross-emirate route planning, and the development of operational systems. These steps are intended to support the eventual introduction of commercial personal air travel in West Asia.
