Yemen: Yemen's Iran-backed Houthis carried out strikes across Saudi Arabia, targeting the Riyadh airport, oil facilities and troops using precision military strikes, a statement issued by the Yemeni Armed Forces on Saturday read.

The statement was published via the 'X' account of Yahya Saree, the spokesperson of the outfit.

The statement read that the strikes were carried out in retaliation for Saudi strike on a market in the Taiz governorate on Friday as well as attacks on the Bani Hashish District on Saturday afternoon.

Six precision military operations

The attacks were carried out using a large number of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones, the statement read.

The first operation targeted King Khalid International Airport, oil storage tanks, and a distillation tower belonging to Saudi oil-giant Aramco, the statement said. The statement added on that the strikes " successfully achieved their objective".

The second operation targeted Aramco facilities in Kuwait and the third strike targeted a punping station in the Dawadmi area, Houthis said. Both of the strikes were also "successful", the post said.

The next three operations targeted Saudi troops in Najran and in areas east of Al-Jawf Governorate as well as Marib Governorate, the armed forces said.

The attacks on troops reportedly left a "large number of dead and wounded".

Houthis vow to continue operations against Saudi

The statement concluded with a note saying that the Houthis will continue their operations "deep inside the Saudi territory".

The outfit reiterated that they will follow the equation of a "blockade for a blockade and escalation for escalation".

Saudi troop concentrations and officers will also be targeted, the post said.
