China: As China's first cross-sea suburban railway, Ningbo Rail Transit Line 12 drew large crowds during its trial run. Damuwan Station on the line welcomed numerous passengers eager to try the service on Wednesday. Ningbo is a city in Zhejiang province in eastern China, located 150 kilometres south of Shanghai.

The line launched on Monday stretches about 61.5 kilometres from downtown Ningbo to Xiangshan- a coastal area of the city. Line12 bridges the mountains and sea and has a total of 10 stations, with two underground stops and eight elevated stations. The one-way trip takes just 35 minutes, which is a key factor that attracts passengers.
The train uses the most advanced technologies, making it the fastest in the country. The trains are also equipped with updated AI and technologies that offer intelligent lighting and temperature control. The line offers scenic ocean views along the route, earning it the nickname 'Seaview Metro' among passengers. Travelling at up to 160 km/h, it offers riders stunning sea views when crossing Xiangshan Bay.
The authorities have also integrated better parking facilities and public transportation services near the station premises.
