Glasgow: Indian triple jumpers Praveen Chitravel and Selva Prabhu Thirumaran clinched silver and bronze medals, respectively, as India enjoyed another productive day at the Commonwealth Games on Saturday.

Asian Games bronze medallist Chitravel bettered his previous Commonwealth Games performance by winning silver with a best jump of 16.58m.

Compatriot Selva Prabhu finished close behind with an effort of 16.52m to secure the bronze medal — his first major medal in an international competition.

Jamaica's Jordan Scott won the gold medal with a jump of 16.72m.

Earlier, India's Ramesh Shanmugam finished seventh in the men's T54 1500m para athletics final, clocking 3:23.59.

India also endured disappointment in the women's 10,000m race walk, with Priyanka Goswami finishing seventh despite recording a season's best time of 45:53.93.

The other Indian participant, Ravina, was disqualified.
