Kylian Mbappe continued his scoring streak as Real Madrid cruised to a 3-0 win over 10-man Valencia to move level on points with La Liga leaders Barcelona. Jose Mourinho's side dominated at the Mestalla on Saturday, extending their winning run across all competitions to eight matches.
Play in Valencia was stopped in the ninth minute to allow players and supporters to pay tribute to Tenerife striker Jesus de Miguel, who died after suffering a serious injury during a Spanish second-division match on Tuesday, with a minute's applause.

Real Madrid’s Thibaut Courtois was called into action in the 18th minute, making a smart save to deny Aaron Mayol after the Valencia forward dispossessed Aurelien Tchouameni in a dangerous area.
Valencia thought they had taken the lead through Guido Rodriguez, but the goal was ruled out for offside. Madrid soon made their dominance count, with captain Federico Valverde opening the scoring in the 28th minute. The midfielder fired a low drive from 20 yards after Mbappe's free-kick was blocked by the wall.
Eight minutes later, the visitors doubled their lead. Jude Bellingham's cutback took a favourable deflection, allowing Arda Guler to volley home from close range. Madrid remained in control after the break and sealed the victory in the 75th minute. Guler picked out Mbappe, who rounded the goalkeeper and found the net for his 17th goal in 16 appearances across all competitions. The Frenchman has now scored in seven successive matches and taken his league tally to 13.

The victory was Madrid's fourth consecutive league win and moved them level on points with Barcelona. However, the Catalans can restore their three-point lead when they host third-placed Atletico Madrid later on Sunday. Valencia remain 19th in the standings, a point adrift of safety, after suffering their seventh league defeat in 12 matches.
