The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) will increase support for Ukraine in response to Russia's continued hostility, the organisation's Secretary General Mark Rutte said in a press conference with Lithuanian Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevicius in Brussels on Tuesday.
"Russia continues its reckless campaign of hostile actions against NATO. It is trying to weaken our resolve and stop our support for Ukraine. But (it) is failing... Our message to Moscow is clear - we will do even more for Ukraine, not less," Rutte told reporters at NATO’s headquarters.
Lithuanian Prime Minister Sinkevicius acknowledged ongoing security risks but said there was no concrete intelligence indicating an imminent threat from Russia.
The meeting comes as NATO allies continue to provide military and financial assistance to Ukraine while monitoring Russian activities across Europe.
