Ingredients
3 tablespoons South Indian filter coffee powder
1/2 cup hot water
1 cup milk
1–2 teaspoons sugar (or to taste)
2–3 tablespoons coffee decoction (or as preferred)

Preparation
Add the coffee powder to the upper compartment of a South Indian coffee filter.
Gently press the powder with the filter's pressing disc.
Pour the hot water over the coffee powder.
Close the lid and allow the decoction to drip into the lower compartment for 10–15 minutes.
Bring the milk to a gentle boil.
Reduce the heat and keep it hot until ready to use.
Add sugar to a serving tumbler or cup.
Pour in 2–3 tablespoons of the coffee decoction.
Add the hot milk and mix well.
Traditionally, the coffee is poured back and forth between a tumbler and davara (bowl) to create a frothy top.
Serve immediately while hot.
Adjust the amount of decoction or sugar according to your taste.
